Objective - Use a ‘ground’ to create a drawing of a collection of at least 3 masks, using at least 5 values

Supplies – 90# Drawing paper, pencil, charcoal, pink pearl erasers, white charcoal, masks

Activities  

Preliminary sketches of masks in sketchbook

Set the ground on 90# sulfite paper

Create a ‘drawing’ in the ground of the 3 masks

Class critique

Assessment –

Journal and progress photos on student blogs

Rubric, and self/peer critique will be used for assessment
